Mandarin Oriental, HK island @ Central

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong (Chinese: 香港文è¯æ±æ–¹é…’店) is a five-star hotel, located on Connaught Road in Central, Hong Kong, owned and managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. The hotel opened its doors in 1963 as “The Mandarin,” and quickly drew recognition for its service and elegance. In 1967, after four years of operation, The Mandarin was listed by Fortune magazine alongside the Ritz in Paris, the Grand in Rome and the Connaught in London as one of the eleven great hotels in the world. In 2005, the hotel spent USD 150 million to renovate its 501 guestrooms, 10 restaurants, and numerous public spaces, as well as to construct the three-story Mandarin Spa, one of only three Forbes Five-Star spas in Hong Kong.

Prominent Hong Kong actor Leslie Cheung committed suicide at the hotel. On April 1, 2003 Cheung jumped from the hotel's 24th floor. Evidence suggests he suffered from depression.

The Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is a luxury Hyatt hotel in Hong Kong, and the Asian flagship of Hyatt International.  It has been described in a New York Times travel article as a "world-famous prestige" property. It opened in 1989 and is located at 1 Harbour Road, Wanchai, adjacent to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. A reviewer for Forbes Traveller enthused about the views of the harbour and waterfront, feeling that they more than made up for its tendency towards the "pint-sized" rooms typical of Hong Kong.

The Grand Hyatt Hong Kong has been attended by heads of state including Bill Clinton in 1988 and Chinese president Hu Jintao in his first visit to Hong Kong.

Last time there was a KMB route called 70 from sheung shui to Jordan Wui Chueng Road... it was intro in 1968 and withdrawn in Dec 2008 due to lost links between kowloon west.. MANY i say MANY bus fans and people gather and sheung shui and wui cheung rd for the final farewell of KMB route 70.

1 year later, Jordan Wui Cheung Rd terminus was discontinued on 9 December 2009 iirc for an unknown reason and svc like 36B, 42A, 46, 63X, 68X, 69X, 81, 95, 110, 296D were moved...

All except for 110 & 296D were moved to a new To Wah Road terminus while 110 & 296D were moved to Kowloon Railway Station
