Karma has no dead lines. Once the conditions are right, the karmic seeds which you sow will sprout.

A moment of desire in your heart is drowning in water.
Realising this, you'll no longer be at the mercy of circumstance.

A student once asked the Buddha:
Master Gotama, what is the cause and condition why some human beings are healthy, while other human beings often are sick?
The Blessed Buddha then explained:
Here, friend, some man or woman is in the habit of injuring living beings with the hand, with a stone, with a stick, with another instrument, with a weapon, or with a knife! Because of intending and performing such evil action, at the breakup of the body, right after death, such one is reborn in a state of affliction, in a painful destination, in the purgatory, or even in one of the hells... But if such one at the breakup of the body, right after the death-moment, is not reborn in an awful state, in a painful destination, in the purgatory, or in the hells, but instead comes back to this human state, then wherever such one is reborn such one is weak, feeble, fragile, unhealthy, unwell, and often sick! These are the actions, friend, leading to future disease: Injuring living beings with the hand, with a stone, with a stick, with another instrument, with a weapon, or with a knife!
However, friend, any man or woman, who fully avoids injuring any living being with the hand, with a stone, with a stick, with another instrument, with a weapon, or with a knife because of intending and fully perform only such good and harmless action, at breakup of the body, right after the death moment, such one reappears in a pleasurable and happy destination, even in the divine dimensions! But if at the breakup of the body, right after death, such one is not reborn in a happy destination, in the heavenly worlds, but instead comes back to any human state, then wherever such one reappears, such one is strong, vigorous and healthy! This is the way, friend, leading to health, to be exact: Avoiding all injuring, wounding and harming of any sentient living being, whether with the hand, with a stone, a stick, or with any instrument, knife or weapon.

有心就有力。
Willingness has power.

Many of us are slaves to our minds. Our own mind is our worst enemy. We try to focus, and our mind wanders off. We try to keep stress at bay, but anxiety keeps us awake at night. We try to be good to the people we love, but then we forget them and put ourselves first. And when we want to change our life, we dive into spiritual practice and expect quick results, only to lose focus after the honeymoon has worn off. We return to our state of bewilderment. We're left feeling helpless and discouraged. It seems we all agree that training the body through exercise, diet, and relaxation is a good idea, but why don't we think about training our minds?”

Precepts allow our mind to be free from disturbance. Equanimity allows us to be calm under adversity. Wisdom allows us to take control of the mind and change our destiny.

Don't let your temporary emotion ruins you.

If your mind is rich, your pocket will be rich.
Control your mind and your mind will control your pocket.
