Take care of your karma,
and your karma will take care of you.
Take care of your Dharma (practice),
and the Dharma will take care of your karma.
- Shen Si'an

Buddhas and Pusas are also compassionate towards sentient beings who have no affinity with them.

'One thing for sure is, you can never win a [severely] deluded person [in argument - even if you have good reasoning].'

Instead of being 'EMO'-tional,
with pointless ups and downs,
how about being 'EQUA'-nimous,
without fruitless attachments and aversions?

莫作最åŽæ–ç§人: Don't be the last person, who breaks the lineage of the Dharma you have learnt. (Remember to practise and share the Dharma)

"It is very hard to distinguish between love and attachment. It is very subtle. Love is pure – without thorns. Attachment comes with a lot of thorns that stick you. You will know it is attachment, not love." - Gelek Rimpoche

Birds and Centipedes
A centipede is crawling on the ground, inching along busily in tiny steps and working hard to coordinate the movements of its hundred legs. It simply cannot understand how a bird can just fly the way it does.
So-called intellectuals are able to believe in Amitabha Buddha only through words, reasoning, logic and comprehension. They are like centipedes, their “understanding” akin to their legs.
There are those with less culture who don’t need to comprehend; they simply believe when told that Amitabha Buddha exists and rebirth in his Pure Land is assured by recitation of his name. They recite diligently – and resemble birds soaring in the sky without touching the ground. Their “faith” is their wings.
The intelligentsia scoff that uncultured people who believe in Amitabha Buddha and practice Amitabha-recitation without thorough comprehension are superstitious. They are like centipedes that consider their legs invaluable and their crawling superior – and sneer at the birds’ flight.

Grateful to the person that he/she gives you an opportunity to accumulate merits. In heaven, there's no opportunity to accumulate merits as no heavenly beings need your help.

Reflect on these 3 questions before we sleep every night, and see if we had wasted another day, or used it well."
A Teaching from Sayadaw Nanda-Siddhi
"Reflect every night before we sleep,
1. Have I gained any property today?
2. Have I acquired any knowledge/wisdom today?
3. Have I done any meritorious deed today?
If we had gained some property today, then this material gain may help us in this life, but we must remember that it can be stolen, lost or destroyed. And we cannot bring it with us to the next life! Nevertheless it can help us with our work, life and support us.
If we had acquired some knowledge or wisdom today, then this is even better. no one can steal it or take it from us. It is with us throughout our lives and can make us better persons.
If we had done some meritorious deed today, then this is truly the best for not only will it help us, and can never be taken away, it will also be with us life after life..... the one true "property" that we own.
Remember that the human body needs to be supported with food, water, shelter, clothing, etc..... it is not easy and cheap to maintain, hence we must use it well.

It's ok if you have no idea where you came from but you must know where you wish to go to afterlife.
