生年过百, 常怀忧,
百事从心起, 一笑解。

Life cannot always be pleasing. One can reach true freedom only by removing vexation and using it as a spiritual nutrient.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The moment of death is a tremendous opportunity, if we understand clearly what is happening and have prepared well for it in life. For at the actual moment of death, the thinking ego-mind dies into the essence, and in this truth, enlightenment takes place. If we familiarize ourselves with the true nature of mind through practice while we are alive, we become more prepared for when it reveals itself spontaneously at the moment of death. Recognition then follows as naturally as a child running into its mother’s lap. Remaining in that state, we are liberated.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Greed can drive one into perplexity, make one deviate from normality, and then develop countless attachment and vexation, and eventually fall into a deep abyss.

To transcend sufferings one must choose to give - to give up all desires and give one's compassion to all beings.
----------------------------------------------------------
Without ill thoughts one will not commit ill deeds or bad words. Self-cultivation is meant by constant control of one's own mind that remains consistent in any situations.
---------------------------------------------------------
In promoting vegetarianism for good health, we should also build ourselves pure bodies, mouths and minds by saying good words, doing good deeds, and making good vows.
--------------------------------------------------------
If our hearts are constantly moisturized by morning dew (Dharma), the winds of vexation cannot stir up the dust of desires.

Don't wait till negative karma catch up with you then you start practicing the Dharma. Just like you don't wait till your enemy catch up with you then you start running. Practice the Dharma when you are well and good.

Just for understanding, by practising dharma does it mean when one is treated badly one will let them continue to ill treat because may be retribution from previous life?
