  慧净上人新春勉言

  �无阿弥陀佛

  ���修���莲�：
  
  世相无常，光阴易�，�快到了腊月三�日。世俗庆�新年，��都说�喜，以为增加一�，实则�少一�，更接近临终一年。�之大德说：
  
  腊月三�日是阎罗王的请帖，准备好的人�喜，没准备好的人�悲。
  
  �说：
  过年是人生终点站的里程碑，准备好的人�喜，没准备好的人�悲。
  
  诚然如是，没有比这更现实的，祈盼�修们的过年，年年都是真正的�喜��喜。
  
  �修若尚有父�在家乡，希望利用这�末年�的一年大节，回乡奉亲过年，把�有�光阴，报答罔�亲�，并与兄弟团�；世间无比父��大，无如兄弟情深。
  
  å�¤äººè¨€ï¼š“å­�悌也者ä»�之本”，å�ˆè¨€ï¼š“慎终追远，民德归厚。”饮水æ€�æº�，感念亲æ�©ï¼Œæ˜¯ä¿®èº«ç«‹å¾·ï¼Œæ·‘世化民的根本。
  
  人生在世，父�儿女，朋�团体，皆因业报；业缘�熟则�，业缘一尽则散，四圣六凡，莫�皆然，这是宇宙人生无常苦空无我的定律�真�。
  
  å�¤è°“：“æ— ä¸�破之家，无ä¸�败之国，无ä¸�死之人。”俗谓：“æ— ä¸�散之筵席”。今年过年的两段广告牌法语ä»�是：
  
  人在世间，��爱�，
  ��驰求，一旦临终，
  究有何物，为我所有？
  
  世间眷属，报尽则离；
  图久�者，当结佛缘，
  �念弥陀，�生净土。
  
  这两段法语，希望�修们，尤其在这过年的期间，能与自他，互相期勉。

  As a filial son, you should counsel your parents concerning cultivation, so that they may practice Buddha Recitation and seek rebirth in the Pure Land. If they can practice with faith, they will surely achieve rebirth. Once reborn, they will transcend the mundane and enter sagehood, escape Birth and Death, join the Ocean-wide Assembly, be close to Amitabha Buddha and eventually achieve Buddhahood. Mundane filiality cannot be compared with such an achievement!

  The Diamond Sutra instructs us to “Let the mind be present without an abode.”
  WHERE DOES THE MIND ABIDE?
  
  The mind usually abides in the six sense objects: sights, sounds, smells, tastes, touch, and dharmas. Throughout the day, our mind constantly seeks out exterior sense objects. If it cannot find pleasant things to look at, it goes in search of beautiful sounds or delicious tastes. In the Platform Sutra, not only does Huineng say that our minds should not abide within the six sense objects, but that they should not abide anywhere, inside or out. We should allow the mind to come and go freely.
  How does this work? Huineng said, “Bodhi is found within the mind, why bother looking for the extraordinary outside?” Bodhi is the intrinsic nature of things as they are; it cannot be found externally. Acquired knowledge can only help us analyze and draw conclusions about the world based on certain assumptions. Bodhi must be sought from within our intrinsic nature.
