"Nothing is more important than life and death. But instead of looking for a way out of the sea of life and death, you spend all the time looking for ways to earn merits. If you are blind to your own nature, what good is merit? " by Hung Jen, the 5th Zen patriarch.
"Merit making calculated to impress is
not real merit." ~Buddhist Quote

"You tell me to stand still, but I am not walking," he shouted, "whereas you who are walking say you are still. How is it that you are standing still but I am not?" The Buddha turned round. "My legs move but my mind is still," he said. "Your legs are still but your mind moves all the time in a fire of anger, hatred, and feverish desire. Therefore, I am still but you are not."

perhaps, forever, there’ll never be another if:
the streets are fought with masses in desperation -
while stopping at origination, knowing not where to go
holding you tightly in the deepest language of love
with flashes of images each freeing and fading off
settling down in heart’s recess - seething profusely
the nights were woken again to oppressor's cold rooms
losing you - losing all courage - losing all that means
remembering the day of freedom were rained with your departure
ever made a promise not to forsake the belief
foolishly without regret, without hatred -
leaving the verbs of loneliness and helplessness
though, the predicament is already known,
perhaps I will choose to wait in another destiny -
knowing that terms of freedom is never easy or fair
and seen those laughing faces behind the scenes
leaving only the hurting heart in parentheses
perhaps, forever, there’ll never be another if:
when would this pain of entanglement end?
helplessly losing you in the chains of the seas

To change your fate, you must :
Believe in karma, repent all your sins (present life & past lives), eliminate evil and do good, accumulate merits.

Sky is the cover of coffin, ground is the base of coffin, no matter where you move, you are still in the coffin.

Practise both merits & wisdom.
修慧修,罗汉托空钵;修修慧,大象挂璎。
Merely cultivating wisdom, and not blessings, is like an arhat who returns with an empty bowl - no alms. Merely cultivating blessings and not wisdom, is like an elephant adorned with precious jewels.

Spend your time on practicing and accumulating merits, not on afflictions.

For one who is at ease —
his body calmed — the mind becomes concentrated.
When the mind of one who is at ease —
his body calmed — becomes concentrated,
then concentration as a factor for Awakening becomes aroused.
He develops it,
and for him it goes to the culmination of its development. - Ananda Sutta
~Buddha~

A day of practice, you gain a day of merits;
A day without practice, you have wasted the day;
Real practice is in our daily activities;
Dharma is actually about our way of living.

We need to be aware of the suffering, but retain our clarity, calmness and strength so we can help transform the situation - THICH NHAT HANH

Sentient beings are countless; I vow to deliver them all.
Afflictions are endless; I vow to eradicate them all.
Dharma Doors are measureless; I vow to learn them all.
Buddha bodhi is unsurpassed; I vow to attain it.

Isn’t it extraordinary that our minds cannot stay still for longer than a few moments without grasping after distraction? They are so restless and preoccupied that sometimes I think that living in a city in the modern world, we are already like the tormented beings in the intermediate state after death, where the consciousness is said to be agonizingly restless.
We are fragmented into so many different aspects. We don’t know who we really are, or what aspects of ourselves we should identify with or believe in. So many contradictory voices, dictates, and feelings fight for control over our inner lives that we find ourselves scattered everywhere, in all directions, leaving nobody at home.
Meditation, then, is bringing the mind home.

Marriage is not about living togther the whole life without quarrelling;
Marriage is about after quarrelling, both husband and wife can still live together for the rest of the life.

"When your mind is narrow, small things agitate you very easily. Make your mind an ocean."
~ Lama Thubten Yeshe

Change your character is more practical than looking for a fengshui master to change your name. Always have good mood is more practical than going for plastic surgery to change your look.

It’s the narrow streams always make the noise..
Not the great rivers…
It's the person who are narrow minded always make the noise.....
Not the person who are broad minded.
