If you wish to be reborn in human or heaven realm, do good deeds will be your top priority.
If you wish to relieve from cycles of rebirth and be reborn in Western Pureland, recite "Nanmo Amituofo" will be your top priority.

All vexation stem from three poisons in human minds. Poisons manifest destruction. The causes to unceasing wars, unstable states, social corruptions, failed businesses and broken relationships are no other than greed, anger, and ignorance.

To be reborn in heaven and human realms, one should put doing good as top priority.
To relieve from endless cycles of rebirth, one should put reciting "Nanmo Amituofo" as top priority.

When others praise you, you do not get caught up in fame or pride.
When others criticize you, you do not become angry or argue.
When things go as planned, you do not become arrogant.
When you encounter situations not planned for, you do not worry or become fearful.
How can you attain such stability? Every time you perceive a distraction—good or bad—you return to the Buddha-name. This is your practice. The more you practice, the better you get.

While mundane beings can only follow karma, enlightened beings can control karma.By following Buddha's teachings, one can put one's bad karma under control. However, the best way to control one's bad karma is not to generate it at all.
Deep wisdom, great compassion: few vexations.

The path to rebirth is dangerous. Always be mindful of impermanence. Always recite "Nanmo Amituofo" and vow to be reborn in Western Pureland.
Buddha said everything in samsara is impermanent. Things and people appear and disappear according to conditions. When things arise and people appear, cherish them. When they disappear, let them go.

Practice Buddhism before bad karma has ripen or it will be too late. It will be too late to change when bad karma has ripen.

Karma, lay people name it as fate. Karma is invisible but powerful. Do good deeds and avoid doing the bad.
You must let go the thought of letting go. Keep holding onto the thought of "I must let go" is also a kind of affliction. Let nature take its course.

At the moment our mind is very scattered, dull and unfocused. Shamatha meditation makes our mind clear, sharp and focused.

"Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there - buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day."
