Because everything changes
from moment to moment,
we should treasure everything
in this moment.
Because everything changes
from moment to moment,
we should not be attached to anything
in this moment.

When one is deluded, there's always sufferings. When one has wisdom, everywhere one goes is like Pureland.

No one — not even the Buddha
— can take away our negative karma;
it is up to us to change our behavior
and engage in the practices.

Able to stop creating negative deeds and cultivate
wholesome deeds is the sign of understanding the Dharma.

Donating to others is like donating to oneself as there's merit when you donate. By the way, only donation with no expectation of return is true donation.

Our bodies are impermanent but we always commit sins because we care for our bodies.

This world is full of conflicts. We will never have peace if we get ourselves involved. Let go our defilements, recite "Nanmo Amituofo" and be as free as Nanmo Guan Shi Yin Pusa.

First you understand the Dhamma with your thoughts. If you begin to understand it, you will practice it. And if you practice it, you will begin to see it, you are the Dhamma and you have the joy of the Buddha.

When you need to detach but you didn't, the consequence is a mess.

Fully worn out is this body, a nest of disease, and fragile. This foul mass breaks up, for death is the end of life.
Explanation: This form - this body - is fully broken down. It is truly a den of diseases. It disintegrates easily. Out of its nine orifices, putrid matter oozes constantly. It breaks apart. Death puts an end to it.

Life's like that - made up of ups and downs. There are good times, and there are bad times. We are on cloud nine when things go well; but we need not be in the doldrums when things do not go our way. It is not up to others or the environment to tide us over the tough times. Rather, it is all up to us and our own attitude. With this perspective on things, we would be at peace and no longer enraged. - Extracted from Luminous Buddhist magazine (Mahabodhi Monastery).

Changing oneself, is equal to changing everything.
The rule of goodness; nothing is better than the Five Precepts.
One who takes the Five Precepts is called the one who cuts the increment of Karma.
There are two important qualities which govern this world of morality..
1. Ashamed to do unskillful and evil deeds.
2. Afraid to do unskillful and evil deeds.
