For those who have read this article so unprofessionally headlined in the Newpaper on the 2nd of May, I would like to gather your opinions on whether or not it is fair to ban these 2 coaches for coaching, when investigations have shown that no money was involved in the so-called match fixing. And as all sport fanatics know, match fixing does involve money. So is it fair to assume that the coaches fixed the match esp since of them was quoted as saying that all he did was to tell his girls to try and keep it at a draw? Should that not be a strategy instead of match-fixing, as the local tabloid so quickly established?
And I would like to stress that any action taken against these 2 coaches will be more due to pressure on the Singapore Hockey Federation and the Ministry of Education to please the masses, thanks to that unforgiving article, than due to justifiable investigation results.
