i would have missed lots of fun in the unit.
If you have martial art background before joining army, unarmed combat training is a breeze.....

Its called cheorographed actions. You have better luck practising kage bunshin or henge no jutsu.

pretty useless to me..it doesn't applies to modern time wars...i guess u will use it when u get into fights at Mhd Sultan..so it's pretty good for those clubbers..

Most of the time unarmed combat sessions become tekan sessions....so we all hate it.
Whether or not the art is effective, I don't know. Never had to use it on anyone. Personally I'd prefer to stand far away and pop people with the rifle.

Everyone hate it because the instructors are all jerks and are basically there to torture you instead of teaching. I took TaeKwonDoe when I was younger and my instructor then was tough but didn't act like a jerk.
Unarmed combat teaches you stuff but it's useless. Everyone who's taken martial arts before knows that you need more than the 4-5 weeks of lessons to be efficient to use those moves.
My suggestion to the SAF is to have the servicemen take TKD throughout their 2 years. Make sure that they at least ORD with a Green belt. At least, one lesson a week. Put some of that tax money into good use. At least, give the servicemen something that they can actually use when they ORD.
Those who have their black belt will be assistant instructors when the lessons are conducted. This way they can cut down on the number of instructors and they won't waste the time of the black belt by making them take lessons they'll get nothing out of. Plus if they know the people, they will teach instead of torturing them.
