jeese i only replied cuz i'm a lfc fan too, and i dont see y u sill dont get it..
wadeva..
Dude... I'm happy that a fellow kopite is willing to argue on this subject. Granted, Benitez has done more than what Graeme Souness, Roy Evans and Gerard Houllier have done.. Granted, he has won us the European Cup last yr... which I must say was the proudest, happiest and most emotional night of my Liverpool fan life...
Having said that, can't you see the bigger picture? He is slowly embracing the path taken by our previous manager, Houllier. Remember those Roy Evans days? During the Spice Boys era? Those boys hardly won anything in terms of trophies. What they did win was the constant support of the fans for their fluid passing and attacking grace. Success did not come as expected but they did get 2nd most of the time. Compared with that team, I'd gladly choose that team over the current one. More for what it represents. It represents that flowing system passed down from Shankly to the boot room boys. And it sure as hell is much more entertaining than this current crop.
All i can say is, I can tolerate this team as long as they produce the results. But given the choice, I'd welcome back Roy Evans or Kenny Dalglish any time.
