What is wrong with the team ?

Management ?
I am a long time fan of the REDS... but year after year I have been so disappointed ( aside from the UEFA/FA/LEAGUE/CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ) we have failed to touch the premiereship for over a decade.
What can Liverpool do to change this ??? -

it seems to be stuck between title-challengers and UEFA spot hopefuls.. Almost every match i watched them play.. Liverpool will create bucket loads of chances.. but be it luck or really really poor shooting , they just can't score..
If you were to be strict.. then you can certainly see that Liverpool's starting 11 can't really match up with Chelski , Man Utd or Arsenal's.. maybe even newcastle has a better 11..
Reina.. from what i have seen last season in La Liga.. he might be another David James in disguise.. Wonderful shot stopper but nv claim crosses well..
Steve Finnan often provide adequate attacking threat , but defending was always found wanting..
Warnock .. capable left back but doesn't do enough for me..
Hyypia's aging & it seems like Benitez doesn't really trust him.. dropping him for Pellegrino last season was a gd example..
Carragher is the most consistent performer for them last season.. but not scoring enuff goals is the main problem for Pool..
Xabi Alonso .. terrific technique player.. but always love those "hollywood" 60 yards passes.. still a good team player thou..
Zenden should be their starting left midfield.. hasn't really settle well.. Don't really see him getting to the byeline and putting in crosses..
On the right.. Luis Garcia starts... a Desperately Frustrating player.. Does the little flicks and loses the ball easily...
Steven Gerrard is the key for everything.. if he dun perform, liverpool are in deep s**t..
Upfront.. Cisse and Crouch will be the main 2... both dun score.. Strikers should and must score..
Overall, Liverpool's main problem is their incapability to score..
Other than Gerrard , it seems like the rest of the players can't even inspire themselves to perform.. let alone inspire others...

Cisse is good, Crouch can retain..
Harry Kewell is no-no-no for Liverpool. He's becoming from bad to worse. Mark Viduka is anytime a better Australian player.. though he is a striker..
Conversion for goals to shot rate is pathetic in Liverpool.
Goals are missing from Liverpool games. -
Selling baros is a big mistake and buying crouch is certainly a big NO NO as he does not score @ all !

and of coz the failed attempt to sign Simao..
Centre backs doesn't have the best of depths.. Who will take over if either Carragher or Hyypia gets injured .. Djimi Traore ? Nightmare

Management pick the right players players don't perform team cannot perform.
They are lucky to have one of the best fans in the world. The fans were singing even when the team had their asses whipped against Chelsea.
Surely the fans deserve more. -
I agree, Liverpool fans and Newcastle fans are one of the best in the world, I felt the liverpool fans deserved more, liverpool are a club of enormous stature, the performance so far has been average. i beg to differ to some comment putting blame on manger/ strikers.
to me the possible could be steven gerrard.
because he is such a superstar in liverpool. other players simply just rely on him to perform. he simply outshine others. the others player not motivated to perform.
to me sell him! rebuild a team base on teamwork. put more responsible on alonso and garcia which is all good players.
Juventus dont play badly after they sell zidane and instead it mark and end of zidane era and a new team are build by recruiting new player like Neved.
gerrard are good player but with him around in liverpool, other players simply are feel motivated to perform as the stars of the show seem always gerrard.
ask ourselves. dont we hate to play in a team of eg. basketball, when one player just simply believe he can carry the whole team and seem to take away all the glory of the team and others like supporting cast. not to mention soccer is even a harder game of one man show unlike basketball which jordan can carry whole team to glory.
benitez know it. but he cant sell gerrard. just like real madrid cant sell raul. because it seem both of them are son of liverpool and madrid respectively.
by the way, i am arsenal fan and say it deep down from my heart. -
