Over rated? hmm...nope, dont think so. Its getting a lot of stick recently for the way teams are shaping up in games.

It's more like EPL is underrated. People see how popular the EPL is and they go "OMG EPL sucks Serie A and La Liga is much better!!!" No way. Serie A has strong teams, but most (not all) of the Serie A matches are dull and damn kelong. The amount of kelong in the Serie A matches is sickening. La Liga used to be the best league, but for the past few years the quality of the La Liga teams has been sliding rapidly. People talk about how Barca is the best team in the world (few will mention Real Madrid) but the truth is Chelsea and Juve are better than Barca. Last season all the La Liga teams got knocked out early in the CL, IMHO this season might not be any different.
For the past few years, the power has been shifting towards the EPL. Last season's victory by Liverpool is the start, I can expect more CL wins by the English teams in the next few seasons. -
Saying Serie A is dull and boring is stereotyping. Just because people says it is boring you dont have to jump on the bandwangon and follow suit.
Lack of exposure to other leagues may be the cause of you sayin that. You watch Serie A? Hard to believe.

The pace of serie A football is slow... tats y ppl dun like it.. Plus the atmoshere of the match shown lacks something compare to EPL.. Mayb coz of the commentator or what..

It's the other way round. Saying Serie A is not dull and boring is stereotying. I am sure there are lots of good matches in Serie A, but overall Serie A is a dead league. It's true that the top teams of Serie A are much more competitive than any other league, but fact is the only really exciting part of Serie A is the top of the league. In the Serie A, teams can go on for half a season without winning a single game. I would rather watch Ronaldinho,Deco,Eto,Ronaldo,Robinho,Beckham,Zidane,Denilson,Joaquin,Aimar play than to watch Lampard,Owen,Henry,RVN,Cisse play..

If you talk about the atmosphere then I agree with you that its really pathetic. A league of that status having dirty and half empty stadiums is really shocking. But if you watch the game under RAI television, its a whole lot different in terms of the commentry wise.
A quality league like the Serie A deserve better I felt.

Just watched the rerun of the Arg-Eng match.The way the Argies played especially in the first half is breathtaking.Crisp short passing all the way,even the long passes they made stayed on the ground.The only time they played aerial balls was when they made defensive clearances.The Argies looked so comfortable on the ball while the English(except for Rooney) could'nt wait to get rid of it.
This is the way footie should be played man!
