it just gets more exciting.
The Hammers had 42 points, but finished 18th. They were relegated alongside WBA and Sunderland.Originally posted by BillyBong:So far, the closest i've seen is the season where West Ham (led by caretaker Glenn Roeder) and Bolton (led by Big Sam) went neck to neck to avoid the last relegation slot.
West Ham racked up a series of wins to threaten Bolton up to the penultimate day when they played each other.
Pity West Ham went down that year despite getting the magic 40 points.
bah. Southampmton faced ManU in their last match. Although they led, they lost in the end.Originally posted by K800i:Last season's relegation was much better , the best so far . Relegation decider was on the last day , 4 teams had to fight in the end , Norwich , Crystal Palace , Southampton and WBA. The latter was lucky to survived but doubt they will be this time round.
This season's relegation is slightly spoilt by Sunderland. They are a disgrace to the EPL. I hope they play non-league football in years to come. Lousy Bob Murray , the worst chairman in football .
