Chelski deserved to win this match... tactically, they got it spot on..
Arsenal tried to match Chelski man for man in the middle of the park.. by playing 5 across the midfield.. therefore leaving Thierry Henry alone on top..
Making him an easy target for Carvalho and Terry...
Although Wenger's track and buying record are among the best in the business... but sometimes, some of his tactics are just plain wrong..
Take the FA Cup last season.. yes they might have won it in the end.. but i would tot that they would learn the lesson of not playing 4-5-1...
To put it plainly, they were very much outplayed on that day in Cardiff..
Yesterday nite.. they played 4-5-1 again.. Guess what ? Yes.. they were outplayed again..
With every passing game , Chelski has shown great determination and desire to be fittingly called Champions.. In contrast , Gunners looked more likely to finish mid-table rather than Champions-elect...
Although alot of ppl (including me) do believe that Arsenal would resume normal service once again.. and get themselves into the top 3..
but if they were to carry on this kind of form.. we might be able to see another team in North London ruling the roost instead... Tottenham Hotspurs.. -
1) they misses the presence of viera
2) gilberto silva suspension does not help
3) youngsters are young and inexperienced.
4) relied 2 much on henry, henry no score, no win as simple as that.
5) sold viera and bought hleb, mediocre player thus far
6) cole and clichy injured, so no left back and lauren looks uncomfy in that position. second goal conceded was his mistake though.
7) lack of form and confidence
where was reyes? injured? -
Yap.. Reyes was injured.. but dun think he will make any difference in an out of sorts Arsenal side..

well, reyes can make a difference lar, not to mention the left back position and lauren playing out of position.
freddy hasnt scored for arse yet in epl, hleb an average buy.
midfield is not like b4 after viera left. defence severely weakened with no natural left back. -

but he is young as youth is his advantage and he can keep on improving from here, whereas drogba is seasoned late 20s, kinda like twilight into his career le. -
arsenal is in danger of not qualifying for CL. chelsea probably running away with the title le, man u and pool fighting for runner up and spurs looks good for 4th spot. it looks increasingly desperate for arse now to finish even 4th place.

the next 2 games for the gunners r bread and butter for the arsenal of old..
Charlton away and Portsmouth at Highbury..
And if Wenger's side can't get the max pts from these 2 games, then their chances of finishing in the top 4 .. are going to be in serious doubts...

Any team except bolton.. haha..
i think alot of fans including me.. would cringe..
if there comes a day .. when we would see Bolton play in the champions league..

physically they couldn't match the chelsea midfield,defensively they weren't as united..offense wise,they relied too much on henry.. -
i would have thought if arsene wenger showed more adventure.. and played Van Persie alongside Henry...
Arsenal might stood a better chance of winning the game... afterall.. a draw isn't going to be enuff for them..
but then again.. it is easy saying this kind of things after the game.. maybe Arsenal might lose 5-0... if they do play van persie upfront.. -

as usual.. arsenal's style of play is very narrow..
when Henry drifts to the left hand side to collect the ball.. there will be no one in the box to attack any crosses..
hence , henry will have to wait and see what goes.. eventually he will square the ball back to the middle.. to either fabregas or flamini..
Essien and Makelele pressurized them and forced them to pass back to campbell or senderos.. then Arsenal will have to start their attack all over again..
In the end.. Henry have to chase around the park.. for long balls pumped by the backline.. which is pretty much unheard of .. for Arsenal's style of play..
