being a famous striker aside i fink wayne rooney mite be a gr8 captain if he continues to matureOriginally posted by alwaysdisturbed:do u tink van nistelrooy is a motivator?
wayne rooney?

in my opinion, i dun tink they r...
captaincy is seemingly given to those who score goals...who r naturally famous...n nt one who coordinates, motivate the team in the game...
who would want to see a captain getting send off for his "incredible" behaviour on the pitch?Originally posted by lpx88:being a famous striker aside i fink wayne rooney mite be a gr8 captain if he continues to mature

So alwaysdisturbed, you must have some team or someone in mind to form this idea right? Care to name a few captains that are more famous and who can score goals as opposed to a more eligible one?Originally posted by alwaysdisturbed:do u tink van nistelrooy is a motivator?

Well according to someone (look at previous few posts), whoever is famous can be captain. I am merely just asking for his opinion and do not need your mocking comments here.Originally posted by lpx88:u think Beckham can lead betta than Keane meh?Keane is the man....
Agree...To be..some teams really captain ridiculous players...IMO rooney is good no doubt...But i dont the team the team will play any lousier if neville or van der sar is captain.Originally posted by White_Shadow^AngeL:who would want to see a captain getting send off for his "incredible" behaviour on the pitch?![]()
i dont see him as good captain... as captain he should be giving instructions here and there... can score goals also no use when the midfield and defense cant coordinate properly... i jz feel striker cant be good captain...Originally posted by nefnuy:So alwaysdisturbed, you must have some team or someone in mind to form this idea right? I can see Henry as one.. But in his case it's different, he doesn't give instructions to the team, but he's just too good. And the team looks up to him.. and he's commited so I still feel he's the most eligible..
i also did not hear any backstabbing from thierry henry (aka the great one)..Originally posted by flying`winger:Strikers cant be good captains because the are selfish. They lead the team by example, banging in lots of goals and inspiring teammates. I think Henry is also maybe too whiny to be captain?
A good skipper would be tony adams, commanding and always there to stick up for his teammates. I've never heard adams backstabbing other teammates behind their back.
