actually, I only watched the second half. so my comments as such.
firstly, I did not see Ronaldino rocks as most of you said only after Larsson came in, Eto went to left, did Ronaldino has more of a roving role.
secondly, Geremi was doing a good job on him. Moanhino did one thing right by putting a more physical player on him.
thirdly, Messi is fanastic, but I like to tend that Chelsea's left back, was having a fanastic game too. but he was tired as he was surging to support the attack while covering Messi. If it was 11-11, things would have been different.
the pitch did serve chelsea purpose to slow down Barca's attack. but later it did not help chelsea when they tried to attack through robben. so double-edged sword.
lastly, we have a referee that is so erratic that both sides can't complain cause he gives advantages and disadvantages to both sides. but at least other than the red card, he was quite okie.
I think I notice, it seems when the ball is in the 6yard areas, chelsea players tend to use their hands to stop the ball. I believe it is intentional, but it seems to be happening quite often. Like Terry or Gallas. It is the way they jump to block the ball. I wish the referees were clearer in this.

Barca deserved to win anyway whether horno was sent off or not. They created the better chances and played better football in the 2nd half. Luckily John Terry was in fine form or else the tie would be over by now.
Morinho accuses Messi of acting but then, chelsea players cheated in last season's match at stamford bridge too. Besides, horno was also rolling about on the floor as if he has fits. -

Del Horno struggled against Messi , he lost his cool , and that's it and the red . -
There is no 50-50 for this match , this match Barca deserve to win cos they control possession for 65% , against 35% of chelsea .
Strangely enough , they ( Chelsea ) got an undeservely lead , courtesy of an Motta's own goal .
And strangely so , Terry conceded one for them too . -

Chelsea stars Eidur Gudjohnsen and Frank Lampard were united in condemning referee Terje Hauge for sending off Asier Del Horno in the UEFA Champions League defeat to Barcelona.
The Premiership leaders were beaten 2-1 by the Catalan club after losing the services of their Spanish full back for a clumsy foul on Lionel Messi in the first half.
Midfield duo Gudjohnsen and Lampard were disappointed that the red card was produced for the challenge.
"For me, it's just a foul," Icelandic ace Gudjohnsen, who was extremely impressive in a midfield role, told Sky Sports. "They clash basically.
"Messi makes a meal of it and the referee buckles under pressure."
Lampard felt similarly about the incident and stressed any malice would have been out of character for the defender.
"I haven't seen Del Horno do any crazy tackles or anything since he's been here," said the England midfielder.
"I don't expect him to start in such a big game."

but it is not important anymore.
the important thing is the 2nd leg. chances of beating barca now is slim, but not impossible. -
