Real Madrid to bid £15M for Arsenal midfield whiz Cesc

Real Madrid are ready to tempt Arsenal with a £15 million offer for midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Cesc is a prime midfield target for Real sports director Benito Floro as he seeks to bring down the average age of the first team squad.
The Mirror says Real are prepared to splash out £15million to clinch the signing of the youngster who showed up the far more celebrated names in the Real Madrid side such as Zinedine Zidane, Guti and Robinho at the Bernabeu.
Madrid supremo Emilio Butragueno said last night: "He had a shining vision of the game. He impressed us all with his ability to rise to the big occasion."

Real Madrid reportedly have a deal locked in for Arsenal fullback Ashley Cole in the summer.
Cole only signed a new deal with the Gunners last year, however he has remained on Real Madrid's radar throughout this season as they consider him as a replacement for Roberto Carlos.
The Daily Star says Madrid have reached an agreement with the Gunners to sign the England international at the end of this season

Chelsea left-back Asier del Horno is being linked with Real Madrid.
The Spanish international has struggled to win over manager Jose Mourinho in his first season at Stamford Bridge and could be on his way in the summer.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea will get rid of Del Horno at the end of the season, with Real Madrid interested in him as a replacement for Roberto Carlos. -
Arsenal's Wenger rubbishes Real Madrid Cole link

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has played down speculation that left-back Ashley Cole was set to join Real Madrid.
Wenger said: "We have beaten Real Madrid and now my whole team is going to play in Madrid! The speculation is frustrating, but I cannot stop it, so it is better I do not worry about it. I feel he is more committed. His attitude has never been a problem to me this season.
"He was always highly focused and committed. In fairness, he was very unlucky because he had a very good start to the season. Unfortunately he got his injury."
He added: "He signed only a one-year extension because we had this problem to give him a pay rise and you can only do it by extending your contract.
"He wanted one year, if he had wanted three years, I would have given him three years. We settled down for that and to see where we go. But he still has two years to go from the end of the season - for me, it is not a real problem, frankly. At the end of the season he has two years, so we will start maybe in September or October." -
Real Madrid president: Henry loyal to Arsenal

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes Thierry Henry will choose to stay at Arsenal.
Perez expects Henry to remain in London rather than move to Spain.
He said "Arsenal want him to stay and I believe he'll continue playing with them."
Henry, 28, wowed Spain with his solo goal against Real on Tuesday.
But he believes Arsene Wenger's youngsters will go on to great things and has never said he could quit if they did not finish in the top four. -

for me, an EPL fan, I don't wish these stars to leave EPL.
if not, we will be struck with plain chel$ea, pumping the ball to Robben or Cole, and then Lampard coming from behind to shoot. Damn boring.
I would prefer 4-5 clubs with fair chance to win the league. If Henry or Cole were to leave, arsenal will be gone. With MUFC in debt, Liverpool not good enough to challenge the league, it will be plain boring.
Hope you get the message, RA, leave and go buy Barca.. -

im a long time arsenal fan.
henry has serve us well. if he wish to go and win trophy with barca or real madrid. i sincerely wish him well. he dont owe us anything. he has to consider his future too.
COle is all about money. i think it is better for him to go to real madrid where he can earn bigger money . i also sincerely also wish him well for serving us well these few years.
let hope arsene can bring in some good players with the money generated. -

Real Madrid president Martin: The global project will continue

New Real Madrid president Fernando Martin says he will continue predecessor Florentino Perez's philosophy of marketing the club across the world.
In his first interview yesterday, Martin told Real Madrid TV: "We are agreed on the global project. There are some differences between us, but many more similarities.
"We are going to strengthen the great things we have developed and fix those that haven't worked. This is the continuation of the project that Florentino set out and now we must rejuvenate the most important part of that - the football team.
"The players need affection and understanding.
"Affection in the sense to ask them why this has happened, to understand what has happened until now but being firm in what we want in the future.
"The players must now understand they need to fulfill the commitments they have made to the club."
Martin will meet the players on Friday in a dinner meeting which will also be attended by the first team coaching staff. -

Juventus coach Fabio Capello is again being linked with Real Madrid.
New Real president Fernando Martin has a long-time friendship with Capello and has maintained contact with him this season.
Now that he has succeeded Florentino Perez, Martin's talks with Capello have intensified with reports suggesting that signings for the Italian in the summer have already been discussed.
Gazzetto dello Sport says Capello has told Martin he wants to bring with him Juve stars Emerson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while also insisting on Antonio Cassano staying with the Spanish giants.

Del Bosque big winner in Real Madrid shake-up

Vicente del Bosque is set to be the big winner from Fernando Martin's elevation to the Real Madrid presidency.
The pair are good friends and Martin wants Del Bosque to become heavily involved in the football setup at the club - with Benito Floro's sports director's job a likelihood.
Del Bosque could also be offered total control of the junior development program at Real, which would mean Ramon Martinez departing at the end of the season.
Either way, Martin is adamant that Del Bosque will return to the club in a high-level capacity.
