  Nice to have a second Singaporean ref at the World Cup. Ivanov and Poll are good, and let's hope that we don't have clowns like Byron Moreno (Italy vs South Korea 4 years ago) again.

  Shamsul's selection is no fluke considering the honest refereeing and the hard work he puts into the job.
  
  It will not be any of shame if he make mistakes during the competition cos I'm sure he'll gives his all in the name of good and honest refereeing.

  It is a real shame we will not be seeing Anders Frisk again after what Chavski fans did to him during last season's UCL.

  actually before Shamsul, another singaporean has also officiated in the world cup. that was during the 1974 world cup in West Germany, his name is George Suppiah.
