being complacent and thought that sunderland is a useless team and it would be a confortable thrashing but this is what u get when u are complacent...........I long ago knew that the title race is over even if they won the match against sunderland @ the bridge they would fall for sure

You are a Chelsea fan and I am a Liverpool fan. I am glad Man U dropped points of cos for reasons different to yours. But did you watch the match? I did. If you did, then you cannot accuse Man U of being complacent. It was a FIRST TEAM that Sir Alex put out. It was a first class performance by Man U. But Kelvin Davis was in good form. they might lose 2nd place if they lose to chelsea and spurs and pool win all by big margins....

united fielded a full strength team but couldn't beat sunderland...but i dun understand why ferguson never bring on saha even though they needed goals..if i dun recall wrongly...he still had one more sub left to use...but he still left saha on it...if he wanted to rest saha(for whatever reason)...i rather he play rossi..who did so well for united a couple of months back...
even ferguson came out to say rooney and ronaldo had the worst game of the season...i dun disagree...often a simple one two were misplaced...
though i hate to admit it...after tonights result...united have only themself to blame for losing out on the title..

Saha is not 100% fit anyway, he injured his ankle a couple of days before the match.
As for rossi, was he even on the bench?
i didn't watch the match as i had to go out early the next day.
but from all reports, it seems that Man Utd had tons of shots on target.. But sunderland's keeper just became spiderman. :O -

for once, I felt SAF did wrong.
he changed the line up that beat Arsenal.
he changed the LB who in Arsenal game swing in the cross for rooney to score. and Giggs were terrible.
somehow, they expected sunderland to flip over and die but OShea and Giggs were horrible, just plain lazy.
I do hope that Ronaldo also start to wake up to learn that in title chase, you have to be efficient not flashy. -
