  soccer: For local, they invest so much to setup teams, make legal betting to boost S-league business, but still...... For global, they cant even do well in asia, so still far from talking about getting any place in world cup.
  
  Basketball: professional league? where? i love to play when i was young too, but where can i watch some professional match? well, i went to different places to watch inter-school match. Back in my secondary school times our school (yishun sec) did well in both soccer and basket ball.
  
  Games like table tennis and badminton: We need to hire chinese players to migrate here, give them singapore nationallity, then they get the medals for us.
  
  i hate to admit it, but i have to agree with what someone said, that sports in sg is kinda "hopeless".

  dunk is more on personal skills.. the most impt thing in basketball is cooperation and team work.. this is wad i think is the most impt.. for me.. me prefer to do passing!! lols.. cuz i am a point guard.. lols..

  Shuai meh?? i find most of them act shuai wan leh. Pattern alot, what i cun stand is that when they score they tend to show a kind of face. Not only guys but gers as well.

  basketball scene here in singapore lacks publicity. the facilities suck, there arent advertisements, tourneys usually pay so much just to get some crap jersey and thrash all the noob young kids. local matches are not even televised. wtf. how to go far like that. i wonder what the BAS meant by raising basketball in singapore into a "merit" sport. merit my fat ass. they dont do sh1t

  i too old too play liaoz, but i love to play when i was young.
  If you like streetball, go d/l some clips call "AND1" series, you will see some nice basketball dribbling tricks, those black kid are crazy..... singaporean got no chance against them. in fact, you use some P2P program, search for keyword "basketball" you will find quite a number of clips with american showing off their skillz.
