  It'd probably come down to Detroit and San Antonio again in the playoff finals this year. My bet is on Tony Parker of the Spurs, or Chauncy Billups of the Pistons.

  I doubt Cleveland nor LA Lakers can proceed to the finals. No doubt Kobe and LeBron are excellent players, but it is the team effort that counts overall. Look at the 76ers with Allen Iverson and Houston Rockets with Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady, they are All-Star players but they're not in the playoffs.

  tony parker is good.. but he dosent hav the indivisual factor to win the mvp award... wade and nash also make it big this season.. but i still think kobe is the best.. he alone lift up the lakers to the playoffs.. he has help from odom and etc.. but they are not consistant.. so.. kobe is better in beinging the team to the playoffs..

  NBA leading scorer this season. Almost single handlely carried Lakers to the playoffs. Plus that 81 points performance against Toronto (Mind you thats the all time 2nd best scoring performance by a player), Kobe's gotta be MVP.
