Watford have handed Polish striker Marek Saganowski the chance to secure a January transfer.
Saganowski currently plays for Troyes in France, but has been unable to establish himself during the first half of the season.
Since signing a three-year contract with Troyes in the summer, he has made just six substitute appearances in Ligue 1.
He has now been allowed to train with Watford for the remainder of the week in the hope of impressing Adrian Boothroyd.
Troyes have confirmed Saganowski will stay with the Premiership's bottom club until Friday before returning to France.
If Saganowski shows enough in training, he will sign a six-month loan deal with the option of a permanent move to Vicarage Road.
Boothroyd is keen to add a striker to his squad and will hope Saganowski can show the form that saw him hit double figures for Vitoria Guimaraes last season.
