ya man, very sad on the way Man Utd lost. just when we got a penalty turned down, a goal not recognise and we're on top of them, ROY KEANE got SENT OFF!!!! maybe it's just not our day...
anyway, we will pick the pieces up and beat Leeds next round... i fear of the form of Newcastle... see how Chelsea perform after the thrash Man Utd... -
Man U played badly, very badly, and for that they deserved to lose. I am saying it as a Man U fan. Almost 80% of their passes went astray or were intercepted. They never dominate Newcastle, who really gave Man U no space at all. At first when I watch the pace of the game in the first half, I was sure Newcastle will not be able to take it and will definitely get slaughtered in the second half. I was wrong. They managed to hustle Man U for the entire game.
However this defeat may be a blessing in diguise as now those Man U players can wait up their ideas and stop being so complacent. Just hope this defeat will spur them onto one of those 10++ unbeaten on the trot games, which usually happen after such a defeat.

in my opinion, i kinda of expected it to be a hard game for Man Utd.
i mean,look at Newcastle's lineup.....
Big Dunc and Shearer were playing. two players with massive aerial(gallagher was playing in a supporting role too) abilities.....Utd defence did not stand a very big chance of containing them for long -
Newcastle is definately the better team on that day, of course they have to owe it to Bobby Robson. He was the one who revived Shearer and Ferguson, bought Gallacher into the team.
As for Man U's title hopes, it will have to depends on the next 2 big games against Leeds away and Liverpool home. -
