Just wonder how many of you here believe that Portugal can beat France? I for once, after seeing their performance against Turkey, felt that it might not be Mission Impossible. Turkey might not be the strongest team but then they are no weaklings either.......

that time i predicted a france n portugal final...sad though that they would have to meet in the semi final...for mi...i think the winner of tis match will win euro 2000...france is really a strong team...but mi hoping portugal to beat them...been beri impressed with their style of play ever since their 1st match against england n have been tipping them to win the euro 2000...they really play entertaining soccer...even better than france n holland...

I see Portugal as a team with few individual star players, like Fernando Couto, Sousa, Figo, Rui Costa. These will prove the danger men of Portugal, even though players like Nuno Gomes and Sa Pinto could prove a mouthful at certain times. But in terms of the fluidity of the soccer, I think Portugal still has some way to go before it reach France's standard. In each of the different positions of the French team, there is a star to offer. Lilian Thuram, Lizarazu, Zidane, Henry, Djorkaeff, Anelka, Vieira, and so many more. Goals can come from any side of the game, and the midfield is hardworking and enterprising. So no need to guess who will win already it is quite one sided.

Nah, Portugal do not have the quality to beat France...France just too powerful for them liao...Portugal just lucky to get into the semis...Lokk at how Portugal progress u will know...England & Germany are both condemn team, need last min goal to beat Romania, Turkey arguably the weakest team in qtrs, more play with 10 men for most of the game...now they meet France, sure die

Actually i feel that france will win, though my heart is wif portugal....... hope that they can cause an upset.
Admit that on paper portugal is not a very good team but think their defence quite stable after the 1st game....... haven't concede a goal since then. -

The midfield battle will be something to look forward to, but it will also be how the two defences contain the strikers. And from the way I see it, the French attackers are more lethal than the Portuguese ones, dunt really think much for the likes of Nuno Gomes and company.
Well, how about the Italian-Dutch matchup??? No one toking about it??? I think that would be a more interesting match
