Holland and Italy are two teams of very different tactics. Holland uses a lot of its flanks, while Italy crowds its midfield with mainly 3 figures in midfield in the form of Totti, Fiore and Albertini. Defences of both teams are quite impressive too, so will be interesting to see who wins for this. My heart goes out for Italy to win, but I think Holland will get there by 2 goals.

Just wonder how many of you here believe that Portugal can beat France? I for once, after seeing their performance against Turkey, felt that it might not be Mission Impossible. Turkey might not be the strongest team but then they are no weaklings either.......

Technically the penalty should be given,but Xavier's hand happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and the ball suay suay hit his hand in the penalty area,so i guess the penalty should be given,but the France should be happy to win this match without a penalty shootout which could turn the tide in favor of the portugese,hehehe

That is actually expected. The star players of Portugal are few, with only Luis Figo and Rui Costa really worth the effort to manmark. Although Nuno Gomes did snatch a goal, I still think that the French do not really hold him in as high regards as his Portuguese counterparts. Whereas Portugal cannot play the same way, because everyone of the French team are star players and capable of producing that magic, with of course Zidane standing out. think portugal din deserve to win...but then...they certainly din deserve to lose...esp in that manner...dun think the penalty should have been awarded...was certainly ball to hand...ball was struck at him less than 5 yards away...where got time to get the hand out of the way...n abt france 1st goal...anelka was definately offside when he laid off the pass to henry...
but then...wat's soccer without a bit of contraversy??rite guys??
