Singaporean soccer fans, please support your very own domestic league. If you don't who will? I know the standard is nowhere near what you saw on TV, the EPL. But why you can support your "home team" which is thousand k.m away where u stay, and not your neighbourhood team within your geographical area. Stop talking about bringing back the M-League days... it alread 7 years..
If ALL Singaporeans put in more passion & committment in supporting out own league (just like the Koreans and Japanese did with their own soccer, saw that in WC2002), Singapore soccer can improved even better then the M-League days. GOAL2010 is achieveable.. we may not be able to go into the Finals in 2010.. but if in process we can improve ourselves and winning sub-objectives.. Don't you feel better support wildly infront of the stadium and swearing opponent fans (what you saw during "live" EPL match on TV)!
From today, get down with your friends, families.... to watch S-League, "endure" the few months of low standard football 1st... once slowly... when more fans packed the stadiums... sponsors saw the positive sign... media saw it... would mean more money and coverage pouring in... 1-2 seasons later.... we will then be able to see better quality matches...
Singaporeans demand... instant success... for everything... We need to be patient and humble.... 1st...

Sucks....S-League's a joke!!!! Do u think the ppl really enjoy the "Goal Feast"....9 - 0, 6 -5, 7 - 0....A bloody joke in the making... And mind u, can u imagine having S'pore Defenders in the team?? They would have let teams like Japan or Korea wallop them 10 -0 or 12 - 0!!!!

I mean yes i support my home team Tampines Rover but then for one not the singapore team. Firstly if 2010 we did get into the WC it be a joke if most of the players are PR. Secondly the scouting structure in singapore suck to core or i should say singapore dun even hv scouts... Thirdly in one S-league team they are so many player from other countries what the use they are not the best from europe how can we singaporean improve... i can see an asian SAF's chaiman playing better then those ah mo why can't singapore... really dissappointed in singapore cos i saw so many great players playing at basketball court or for school team but nv play for any club....

I myself do support Gombak United cos I live in that area. But S-league is starting to shape up like Scottish league whereby every year, we only see SAF and Home fighting for the the top two spots every season. Esp tis yr, SAF scored a astonishing goal of 104 in juz 33 games and win the league by 20 pts. If every yr like that, who wan to watch. Somemore both club r the richest in Singapore and they absorb good youth player when they need to go for NS. I feel that it is really unfair.

well, s-league is still extremely young and is goin through a transiton period for the time being. so compared the S-league with epl which had 100+ yrs of history is quite unfair. as least we hv our own league.

It's a great torture to watch S-league matches..perhaps we are to into EPL and we tend to compare the standards! You can say it's unfair but tell ya frankly, S-League's really BORED!!!
Guess that FAS and FAM may consider merging both S-League and M-League to form Peninsula League(aka P-League), then I think the standard may raise and more teams means more competitive...(promotions and relegations)..etc!
