I've been trying to figure the differences in the purpose of sit-ups and crunches. I used to think that crunches are for those who can't do a proper sit-ups but I think I'm wrong -- perhaps it could have a better purpose.
I'm trying to get rid of a belly that shakes after 3 months of no-exercise. What is the most effective way to do it? I'm not even trying to achieve 6 packs, or even flat stomach, just a belly that doesn't swing and shakes.
I've been doing some cardiovascular exercises like jogging but it seems that only my leg muscles get harden and my legs thinner, but my belly is still soft and shaky and hanging with fats.
So now i'm looking at sit-ups and crunches. How many to do and how frequently and how intense should a session be?
U can try to watch ur diet. Dunno if u have suppers but suppers r killer man. Try not to snack also. Have proper diet. Maybe can cut down on carbs n more on protein.
For cardio u gotta do at least 15 mins continous to have any fat burning effect. If ur legs get thinner n harden, it's cos of the fat being burned. Continue n the tummy will slowly disappear also.
Crunches r safer than situps but u cannot see any abs unless u remove the fats 1st. So u gotta just do more cardio n watch ur diet. There r some supplements which help to burn but I dun really recommend unless a doctor recommends.
Ur tummy definitely wasn't formed in 3 months so u gotta just hang on in there n persevere in ur training.
