he's got the wrong ronaldo in the team.
anyway, portugal usually plays with 2 upfront... don't know why he changed to this formation.
but looking at the game itself... the portuguese players didn't want to win the game anyway -
actually from what i look at it, even though i don't like this ronaldo. i can say this ronaldo was working very hard... especially so after conceding the penalty. the spirit of chasing the ball reminds me of van nistelrooy in holland.

I didn't look at their past record to know they are probably bad internationally but there was no excuse for a lousy performance put up. It's Euro. You expect to see exciting football, not kampong football beaten by national team. FA defend Zidane video gaffe
It is obvious that David James was idling when Zidane curled his free kick into the net.
The Football Association have defended the video designed to help David James cope with the threat of France's attack - but did not feature any Zinedine Zidane free-kicks.
James revealed at yesterday's media conference that he had watched tapes of France in action but he was unprepared for Zidane's moment of dead-ball genius which brought his team level at 1-1 a minute into stoppage time.
An FA spokesman explained: 'We've video-taped all of France's recent games, around seven in all, and highlighted all the significant set-pieces.
'The fact is there were no free-kicks by Zidane during that period that were at all threatening.'
Les Bleus went on to win 2-1 as Zidane coolly dispatched a penalty when James sent Thierry Henry flying in the box.
Zidane did, in fact, score with a free-kick in the last European Championships in Holland and Belgium four years ago, opening the scoring with a curled effort in the quarter-finals against Spain.

Look at what your opposite, Rudi is doing. He's putting young and powerful players in midfield to stamp authority over the once mighty Oranje stars.
Overmars is outran, Davids no longer becomes indispensable. Once the ball winner of the Dutch, Davids is goners.
