The Jaguar Formula 1 team will be no more at the end of this season. The Ford bosses said that running a team under any of its brands "did not create a compelling business argument." Engine supplier Cosworth has been put up for sale, 1100 employees at the Coventry factory will be made redundant and the World Rally Team is also under threat.
Personally, I think Jag's involvement in F1 has not been justified by the results (best finishes were 3rd in Monaco 2001 and Monza 2002). It is hugely expensive, and fighting Toyota in the lower midfield of the grid is ruining the brand. Ford has been bleeding red ink for several years since Jac Nasser's departure, something has to give, and this was least unexpected.

well, it was a "big name".. that is, Jag....
losing ground to toyota isn't really that good..
wonder if there are any other teams wanting in...

well, if only they used the funds better during their 1st 2 yrs on their car package instead of spending it on Eddie Irvine...........
