I have another question:
What if I want a varied background, as in IF the height is above then certain height, then it should be background 1, or else, use background 2.
This is intended to use in underground station, but think again, the current way to do underground station is just using a night (Black) background but it does not make sense on the route, given the fact is that the route starting time is about 12 noon.

It is working. Do you mean the download page or the downloadable file itself?

No, please try again. Sometimes Skydrive may suck.

You need separate background textures. I'll WLM you soon.

Done, made the necessary changes, I think that post needs to be copied over to bvesg, so it'd be more efficient.
Hey.. if i run the jurong east / changi airport line, my train will be parked about one and a half doors forward... like the first door of the platform is between the first and second door of my train. anyway to fix this?

Use only the C151 or C651, not some other ulu trains.
Originally posted by yellowflip999:Use only the C151 or C651, not some other ulu trains.
When he meant ulu trains, he meant trains from HK or other country ones lar. Becoz, especially for the HK ones, it is meant for BVE only, and thus no exterior.
Furthermore, trains from other countries (Not C151 or C651 or the upcoming, now as of 2010 Apr 22 not yet released C751B) or even other local train system if ever existed in future (C751A, C830, C951 etc) have other different specification, such that it can never be technically correct for use in EWL / NSL routes. (All BVE routes here are for openBVE and only EWL / NSL routes in various sectors only)

To summarise: The train that you're using is not what the route in real life uses.
uhhh.. no wor.. i tried both the c651 and c151.. same results...

If you inisist that you are using the correct trains, then you should show a screenshot uploaded via Imagehost or sort of.

You mean at the first station, the default starting/insertation point of the route. the train is about 1.5 doors forward? This is I think a openBVE bug. Try updating to the latest version? I have this problem too.
Download the latest version here:

HELP, how do i open the game? I have downloaded the car and the route. What do i need to do next? Please help me.

Install the route on Data\Railway while train on Data\Train folder.
Then, open the application, choose the route on top in the folder of Data\Railway\Route\<Subfolder if applicable>
and choose the train below at
Data\Train\<any other applicable subfolders>
Note: For this, there is no standard so long as the thing is under Data\Railway (For the routes) and Data\Train (For the trains) will do. This is under BVE standard arichtecture. This is why there might have applicable subfolders.
U may want to PM me for the screenshot, using MSN.

I store my trains and route files in openBVE\Train and openBVE\Railway respectively.
Originally posted by yellowflip999:I store my trains and route files in openBVE\Train and openBVE\Railway respectively.
Well, <openBVE> is your installed openBVE directory and \Train to store trains? O, also can, but by default, openBVE gives us the Data folder, which I used it as it is.
Eg of mine installation of route:
D:\openbve_stable\Data\Railway
where D:\ is my D drive and openbve_stable is the filename of the downloaded openBVE application file (In .zip).
And trains:
D:\openbve_stable\Data\Trains
For Flip, according to the post above:
OpenBVE\Railway, is the routes installed where OpenBVE refers to installed directory of the openBVE. This is where your openBVE.exe is located.
(Tip: So mine openBVE should be D:\openbve_stable)
OpenBVE\Trains, where the Trains are installed.
Do note that the train files simply cannot put on Railway folder, and Routes cannot be installed on Trains folder. Even the routes in Railway folder has a subfolders rule to go abide by one, or else the simulation wont work.

Hmm, I just followed the instructions on this page when I first started.

Given from the link, the pic as below from downloaded openBVE
I put my routes and trains in the data. There is nothing wrong with flip or mine preference.

Both is okay. As what "he" (the website creator) said, any folder you want the railway or train to be stored in is fine, as long as the inside stays in the "standard" folder.
