Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FX38 (Since September 2008 onwards).. I change to this model cos my old Canon powershot A 80 spoilt and had to pay $300 for the repairs. =X but well, the Lumix one is clearer indeed.

consumer: kodak cx7430 (4 megapixel)
prosumer: fujifilm finepix s2000hd
dslr: upcoming, Nikon D60 maybe?

May as well save up a bit more and futureproof yourself with the D90.

tried out D90 but wouldn't want it.
i'm more to canon side. i've always wanted a D60 from the start, so yeah.

Canon? Good choice - I prefer their lens choices to those offered by Nikon.
They've just released the 500D which, be specs at least, looks like it could kick the D90 into the next fortnight. That said, having moved to the XXD chassis, I can't really go back to the Rebel series comfortably.

Nikon D60 for $860 with 18-55 basic kit lens
Canon EOS1000D for $1099 with 18-55 basic kit lens + 75-300 lens (Duo Lens Kit)
Thinking of getting the 1000D for its price, outside sell the same price but not duo lens if im not wrong..

Hi, I'm a student studying at Temasek poly, Design school and I am doing a project based on 'green' photography. I'm targeting photograpers in Singapore, especially those who use film, so I'm doing a survey for my project. I know that most people use digital cameras nowadays, but if you could spend a few minutes on the survey, I would really appreciate it. Thanks :)

Mine is Fujifilm Finepix F480; also kena repaired once because the lens just couldn't come out. I had used a Canon Powershot A200 before and it is a 2 MP camera that didn't have optical zoom, as well as Casio Exlim Z75 which I thought was the best among the three:Canon Powershot A200:

All pics have been edited by auto levels and colour correction only through Photoshop (in 1st photo) and GIMP (in the other 2 photos).
