ok, i'm missing the drift here...he died coz he got bashed up. why was he bashed up if not for theft?

No, he was walking and a drunkard got a large stick and bash him. He fell before other passersby stop the bashing. By then he was bleeding and unconcious. He died a week later. Just bad luck.

my classmate's BIL passed on earlier this week. he was 29. he contracted jaundice in oct; was in ICU since then.
