Police say they've arrested three men aged between 30 and 40 for their alleged involvement in two separate loanshark cases.
In the first case, a 30-year-old Chinese man surrendered to the police at Ang Mo Kio Police Division for loanshark harrassment in Hougang.
The other two Chinese men, aged 35 and 39, were arrested yesterday in Geylang following an anti-loanshark operation.
All three will be charged in court tomorrow under the Moneylenders Act 2008.
First-time offenders may face a minimum fine of 4,000 dollars or up to 40 thousand dollars.
They could also be jailed for up to three years or both.
Those convicted of damaging property or causing harm to others may be caned.
