SINGAPORE: A chemical spill occurred at the junction of
MacPherson Road and Genting Lane on Wednesday afternoon. No one was
injured.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Control Room received a call
regarding the spillage at around 2pm and arrived in six minutes.
It said that the chemical spillage affected an area of around 3m by
3m and was caused by a proprietary chemical substance produced by the
chemical company.
SCDF used absorbents to clean up the spillage which was then packed
in an over-pack drum. The area was later flushed with water and
biosolvent.
