A man lost a laptop and two handphones to a thief on Sunday.
The victim, an Indian in his mid-30s, had left his home at Block 462 Crawford Lane at about 1.45pm.
When he returned less than 5 hours later, he found that the unit's main gate had been tampered with and left ajar.
His room had been ransacked and the belongings worth $2,400 had been stolen.
In another case, a man lost 2 cameras worth $700 when his lorry was broken into.
The man in his mid-20s had parked the vehicle at Jalan Seaview last Wednesday at about 9pm.
When he returned at about 8.10 the next morning, he discovered the driver's side door slightly ajar.
The two cameras which had been on the front seat had been stolen.
The police would like to remind the public not to leave any valuables in their vehicles.
If you have any information on either of the two cases, you can call the police hotline at 1800-255-0000.
