The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority says it's carrying out tests on Red Bull products to examine if they belong to the contaminated batch found in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The AVA was responding to media queries by 938LIVE on whether Red Bull products in Singapore are safe for consumption.
Yesterday, Hong Kong authorities pulled off Red Bull from supermarket shelves after it found tiny traces of cocaine in the popular energy drink.
But health authorities gave assurance that the amount of cocaine found in the drinks posed little health danger.
The energy drink scare first occured in Taiwan, and authorities there have since removed 18,000 cases of Red Bull imported from Austria after finding it contained traces of the drug.
