A female Chinese physician and acupuncturist has been suspended by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Board.
Peh Ya Xiang of Peh Acupuncture Medical Hall in Jurong East wont be able to practice for three years.
She will also have to pay the costs and expenses of the inquiry.
According to the board, Peh was found guilty of professional misconduct in treating a patient with piles.
The practitioner also failed to keep proper and accurate records of the treatment she administered to the patient.
Peh was also convicted for possessing and selling two poisons, (lidocaine and prednisolone) without a licence.
