Six people have been injured at Ghim Moh Hawker Centre.
The incident happened at noon yesterday.
According to a Manpower Ministry statement, it involved the unintended release of hot soya bean milk from a pressure cooker at the 'Original Soya Bean & Chin Chow' Stall.
Three employees at the stall as well as three members of the public who were seated in front of the stall were injured.
They have since been discharged from hospital.
Mr Silas Sng, Director, OSH Inspectorate, MOM - "MOM's Occupational
Safety & Health Inspectorate immediately commenced investigations
on-site.
Our officers have told the stallholder to stop the use of the pressure cooker until investigations are complete.
All users of pressure cookers as well as other electrical appliances
should always follow the precautions specified by manufacturers.
For example, users should heed the warning signs that prohibits the opening of the cooker while it is still under pressure.
Doing otherwise could lead to injury or accidents. MOM is currently investigating the incident."
