Fastest burger-eater crowned after four weeks of competition
SINGAPORE : After four weeks of gut-wrenching competition, the winner of a nation-wide burger-eating contest has been crowned.
33 finalists competed against each other in the finals on Wednesday.
The event, organised by the Botak Jones chain of food outlets, required
competitors to down a burger made up of a massive 220-gramme patty,
bacon, cheese and two eggs, as quickly as possible.
30-year-old retail professional Ng Chin Sheng took home the top prize of a 3-day, 2-night stay at the Bintan Lagoon resort.
Despite being one of the slimmest competitors, his winning time of
1 minute 21 seconds was a whopping 10 seconds faster than the
runner-up.
