TCM practitioner fined, censured for professional negligence
SINGAPORE : A Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner has been fined and censured following complaints filed against her.
Chua Ee Fang was found guilty of professional negligence for inappropriately administering acupuncture and heat therapy, causing a patient to suffer burn injuries.
She had also failed to keep proper and accurate records of the treatment administered to the patient.
Chua was fined S$2,000 and ordered to pay other incidental costs including S$12,000 to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Board for her appeal, which was dismissed by the High Court.
