Long queues were seen forming outside Shell Petrol stations islandwide this afternoon.
All thanks to a National Day promotion by the company which saw discounts of 44 cents per litre of fuel between 4 and 5pm.
At the petrol station along Lornie Road, for instance, more than 30 cars were spotted in the queue.
Car owners were notified of the deal via SMS.
"It's a very good offer. Because now the petrol price is so
expensive. I think they should do it more frequent. I saved at least
eight to ten dollars."
"I think it's good, but they probably should have it longer, so you don't get a long queue out there."

Imagine seeing lots of Porsches or Lambos queuing up to save 44 cents a litre.

It would be good if I can buy a tanker, pump in full of petrol and park it outside my house. ![]()
