Boy falls from 9th floor, suffers just fractured ankle
SINGAPORE: Saved by the bushes - that's probably what happened to
a three-year-old Korean boy who survived after falling nine floors from
his apartment in Singapore on Monday.
Goldenhill Park along Mei Hwan Drive is five years old and has all the
facilities expected of a modern condominium. But one simple device was
missing from the apartment rented by the family of Park Sihu.
Window grilles were not installed in all the rooms and this
resulted in Sihu falling down nine storeys. According to Sihu's mother
- who declined to be interviewed on TV - the boy was playing in the
study room where he is not allowed inside because the window does not
have grilles.
When the maid found him missing in the apartment, she went
downstairs and found the boy crying amongst the bushes. The maid
carried him back to his home where paramedics treated him for abrasions
and cuts.
He was then taken to the KK Women's and Children's hospital in a
conscious state. Apart from a fractured left ankle, doctors found no
concussion.
Sihu has two sisters aged 10 and 12 years.
The family has lived in the apartment for one and a half years.
Sihu's mother told Channel NewsAsia that she will ask the landlord to
install window grilles in the apartment.

Some things you dont know till 1-2 years down the road, may have already damaged his brain/intellect already, or injured his organs subtly. Some wont surface till later.
I think KK hospital should keep him warded and observe him for some time like 3-4 days, just in case, something happen for the worst.
Also, wtf the condominium dont have grills???

Guess the tree saved this little boy.
Would not be so lucky the next time.
wahhh, lucky sia..
his time is not up yet..
Amazing.
That is the reason why windows should always be secured with grills, especially when one has young children.
