Chefs in seafood hot soup in Singapore
SINGAPORE: Some top hotel chefs have landed themselves in hot soup, for allegedly receiving bribes from a seafood supplier.
About 30 Chinese restaurant chefs are now helping the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau with investigations.
Since the probe began, as many as 18 chefs have resigned from their Chinese restaurants, or have been asked to leave.
It is believed that some of the chefs received commissions each time they ordered items, like shark’s fin, from the supplier.
