Nearly 6 in 10 divorces involve children
Nearly six in 10 of the civil divorces last year involved couples who had children below the age of 21.
Minister for Community Development Youth and Sports
Vivian Balakrishnan gave this update in a written reply to a question
in Parliament.
With regards to Muslim divorces, the figure is slightly higher at around seven in 10.
In most of these cases, the woman was awarded custody of the children.
