Mr Tan Kee Yong has been appointed as the new Cabinet Secretary.
He will also take up the post as Secretary to the Prime Minister.
A check on the Singapore government website confirmed his appointment.
The 52 year-old public administrator will succeed Mr Lau Wah Ming, who's retiring from the civil service.
Mr Tan has spent 28 years in the Administrative Service.
Before his posting to the Prime
Minister's Office, he was deputy secretary of services at the Education
Ministry, and chief executive of the Singapore Land Authority.
He has also held key posts in
various government agencies, including the Public Service Commission,
Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Home Affairs.
