S'poreans reminded to sign up for 2009 GST Credits before Dec 31
SINGAPORE: The government has reminded Singaporeans to sign up for their 2009 GST Credits by 31 December this year.
Those who do not do so will not be eligible for this year's Credits and Senior Citizens' Bonus.
You can sign up either online at GST Offset or by filling up a form at any Community Club, Community Development
Council or CPF Service Centre. All forms should reach the CPF Board no
later than 31 December 2009.
So far, more than 240,000 low-income Singaporean households living
in 1- to 3-room HDB flats have received about S$400m in GST Credits and
Senior Citizens' Bonus as well as utilities, rental and conservancy
rebates.
S$460m in Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) and WIS Special Payment has also been disbursed to eligible low-wage workers.
