A taxi ploughed into a convenience store located at Tiong Bahru Plaza earlier today.
Police say they received a call about the accident at about 1 pm.
Hotline callers to MediaCorp say the impact of the accident shattered
the taxi's rear glass screen as well as the glass panel of the store.
Mr Ghani Bava was at the scene of the accident :
"Quite serious ram. I can say half of the front bonnet went
in. The taxi's rear screen all totally damaged. And some of the display
items spilled on the floor, and the shelving I think also spoilt
already."
One pedestrian was injured in the collision while another two were injured by the shattered glass.
Two ambulances were sent to the scene.
All three have been conveyed to the Singapore General Hospital for minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 50s escaped unharmed.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
