SINGAPORE: A European Union anti-piracy force has reported the hijacking of a Singapore-flagged ship in the Gulf of Aden.
The vessel is said to be heading towards Somalia now.
The MV Pra-moni, a chemical tanker, was attacked en route to Kand-la in India.
It was carrying a crew of 24, mainly Indonesians.
And they're all well, as reported by the ship's master who also called-in the hijacking by radio.
Somali pirates have made tens of millions of dollars from seizing ships for ransom in the Gulf of Aden.
It's one of the world's busiest maritime trade routes, linking Europe to Asia.
The pirates are believed to be holding more than ten vessels.
