Taking a cab from Resorts World Sentosa, RWS, will become more expensive.
ComfortDelgro will impose a three dollar location surcharge for all taxi trips starting from the integrated resort.
In a statement, it said the surcharge will come into effect from 6.00am on Friday.
The taxi operator said this is to cater to the throngs of people who
are expected to visit Resorts World Sentosa this weekend, when the
casino and theme park open for business.
The surcharge will be displayed on the meter and printed on the receipt.
RWS would not confirm if the casino and Universal Studios theme park
would open by the Lunar New Year, widely regarded as an auspicious time
But tenants and staff at the integrated resort have been reported to be gearing up for the big opening at the end of this week.
